Black Fatigue: How Racism Erodes the Mind, Body, and Spirit

This presentation focuses on the impact of Black fatigue not only on Blacks but on society as a whole. The racist system is not just literally killing Black people, it is tearing the whole nation apart. In every aspect of life from socio-economics, to education, the workforce, criminal justice and very importantly health outcomes, the trajectory for Blacks is getting worse rather than improving.

This session will:

  • Shed light on a little talked about phenomena
  • Encourage more dialogue and solutions to persistent inequities for Blacks
  • Alleviate the fear associated with cross-racial dialogue
  • Provide support to Blacks in identifying the symptoms of Black fatigue and ways to minimize it
  • Improve cross-cultural understanding
